At the Rose of Tralee International Festival 2018, ICRR had the fantastic opportunity of holding a fundraising raffle in the Dome!
We were lucky to be have such a wonderful event in which to raise awareness of who we are and what we do, and it was so exciting to meet all the magnificent Roses and marvellous Escorts. We even got the chance to see the wonderfully eloquent winner on stage! A huge congratulations again to the wonderful Kirsten Mate Maher, who was crowned this year’s winner of the Rose of Tralee, we loved seeing her on stage and hopefully we’ll cross paths with her during her reign.
We are so grateful to the fantastic committee and volunteers at the Rose of Tralee Festival who allowed us this great opportunity and showed their support for ICRR and its lifesaving services. We were lucky to have a number of terrific volunteers (including our voluntary CEO who we put to work very quickly) on the night to help run the event and sell tickets, and without whom, we wouldn’t have had such a fun time in the Dome. ICRR says a very big thank you to those volunteers! We must not forget to thank the Garda on duty who oversaw the winners being picked too.
We must also say a very big thank you to all who supported us on the night and bought our raffle tickets which helped us raise a fantastic €1884 on the night! The €1884 raised supports the ongoing lifesaving efforts of the Irish Community Rapid Response network of Volunteer Doctors and Rapid Response Vehicles, and supports us in the provision of Ireland’s first Charity Air Ambulance.
Check out our next post about our wonderful sponsors who donated and sponsored the wonderful prizes that helped us achieve such a great amount of funds.
Here’s a selection of pictures from the night!
